Cultivating Bonds Across Generations

One Family. Four Generations. One Passion.

The Territory

We are located in Precenicco, in the lower plain of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in an area historically devoted to viticulture and agriculture and included in the production area of the Friuli DOC. A territory that has always expressed a strong agricultural identity, closely linked to the quality of its products and to a direct relationship with the land.

The area occupies a strategic position between the rural hinterland and the Riviera Friulana, benefiting from its proximity to the Adriatic Sea and from the presence of waterways that, over the centuries, have helped shape the local landscape and define its environmental and productive characteristics.

This territorial heritage is still clearly reflected in the agrarian structure, rural architecture, and the network of small towns and villages that characterize the Friulian Riviera.

Today, the production area is involved in cultural, tourist, and rural enhancement initiatives promoted by regional and local authorities, with the aim of protecting the landscape, the environment, and traditional agricultural activities, while strengthening the connection between territory, community, and local identity.

Cultivating Respect for the Land

We believe in a way of farming that respects the environment, people, and the territory, while at the same time ensuring quality and long-term production continuity.

All our wines are certified SQNPI – National Integrated Production Quality System, a certification that attests to the adoption of low-impact agricultural practices. This approach involves careful resource management, reduced use of chemical inputs, and compliance with national guidelines specifically designed for viticulture, with the aim of protecting the ecosystem and consumer health.

Alongside agricultural management, we have also made significant investments in the energy sector. The winery is equipped with a 100 kW photovoltaic system, which allows us to be energy self-sufficient, substantially reducing the environmental impact of our cellar operations and contributing to the generation of energy from renewable sources.

Our outlook is also focused on the future. Among the projects currently under evaluation is the development of an agrivoltaic system, designed to integrate solar energy production with the cultivation of other agricultural crops, different from grapevines. A path of research and experimentation that confirms our commitment to continuing to invest in sustainable solutions capable of combining innovation, landscape protection, and respect for natural cycles.

OUR STORY

Our story began in 1966, when Umberto Baccichetto and Fiorella arrived in Precenicco, in the Riviera Friulana, bringing with them a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep knowledge of agricultural work. It was during those years that the foundations were laid for the winemaking project that today bears their name, firmly rooted in the territory and in the values of the rural tradition.

From the very beginning, our bond with the land has been at the heart of our identity. The vineyard, daily work, and respect for natural cycles have guided every decision, transforming agricultural activity into a shared path of growth—family-driven even before it became an entrepreneurial venture.

Over time, the winery has evolved alongside the family. The generational transition has never been a simple continuation, but rather a source of enrichment: each generation has contributed its own perspective, combining inherited knowledge with new skills, sensibilities, and visions. In this way, tradition and innovation have come to dialogue naturally, without ever losing touch with their roots.

Today, we are the fourth generation leading the winery. Our roots remain firmly grounded in the history that came before us, while our gaze is directed toward the future, with the aim of preserving and enhancing the agricultural and human heritage we have inherited. We continue to work with the same spirit as in the early days: care, dedication, and respect for this land.

OUR WINES

Our winery tells the story of five distinct wine worlds, each with its own identity, aromas, and sensory profiles, all an authentic expression of the Friuli DOC and of the winemaking vocation of the Friulian territory.

We cultivate our vineyards with dedication across an estate of approximately 38–40 hectares, overseeing the entire production cycle from vineyard to bottle, combining modern winemaking techniques with respect for local traditions.

Our wines encompass a wide range of styles, from aromatic white wines to structured reds, as well as rosés and sparkling wines. Each wine has its own story and organoleptic characteristics, reflecting the sandy-clay soils and the temperate climate of the area.

Our production reflects the experience of four generations, the careful management of the vineyards, and close attention to every stage of the winemaking process, with the aim of offering wines that transparently express the unique character of our territory and the passion that guides our daily work.

A Story Shaped by Tradition

The traditions of our territory are rooted in a deep bond between people, the land, and agricultural work. In this part of the lower Friulian plain, rural life has for centuries been the cornerstone of social and economic organization, giving rise to practices, knowledge, and customs that still define the local cultural identity today.

The territory of Precenicco preserves significant traces of its history, visible not only in the agrarian landscape but also in places of worship and in the marks left by the past. Among these, the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin of the Snow of Titiano stands as a historical and spiritual landmark for the community, bearing witness to a form of popular devotion deeply rooted in rural life and in the territory.

During the Middle Ages, the area was also influenced by the presence of the Teutonic Knights, a monastic-military order that played an important role in land management, agricultural organization, and the control of trade and communication routes. Their presence contributed to shaping the rural structure and to strengthening the bond between land, work, and community—elements that still characterize this context today.

Alongside the historical and religious dimension, Friulian food and wine traditions developed over time, closely linked to seasonality and to the products of the land. Bread, cheeses, cured meats, wine, and traditional dishes represent a cultural heritage that tells the story of an agricultural community in which food and wine hold a strong identity-driven, social, and cultural value.

Today, the rural and gastronomic traditions of the territory of Precenicco and the Riviera Friulana are recognized as a fundamental resource for the cultural, tourist, and rural enhancement of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The protection of this heritage helps keep the dialogue between past and present alive, strengthening the identity of the territory and its bond with the local community.

OUR EVENTS

The winery has always been a place of meeting, sharing, and connection with the territory. Alongside our work in the vineyard and the cellar, we believe in the importance of opening our spaces to moments of conviviality, culture, and discovery, capable of telling the story of wine through direct experience.

Throughout the year, we host events, tastings, and special occasions that allow visitors to experience the winery in an authentic way, coming into contact with our history, our wines, and the rural landscape that surrounds us. Dinners among the vineyards, guided tastings, and themed gatherings are designed to create simple and genuine opportunities for connection, in harmony with the rhythms of nature and the seasons.

For us, events represent a natural extension of our philosophy: a way to share our daily work, enhance local food and wine traditions, and strengthen the bond with the community and with those who choose to visit our territory. Each event is conceived as an experience that brings together wine, conviviality, and landscape, placing human connection at its core.

The winery also hosts cultural initiatives and moments of gathering that contribute to the enhancement of the territory, engaging in an ongoing dialogue between agriculture, culture, and rural life. A way of experiencing the winery not only as a place of production, but as an open and shared space.
